GOOP Solution Package
Graphical Object Oriented Programming (GOOP) provides advanced design techniques for component management in complex applications where flexibility and easy maintenance is required. The VISTA GOOP Tool Suite is easy to use and similar to previous versions of GOOP tools from Endevo. All the powerful features of GOOP 2.0 have been retained in the new VISTA version, along with added functions for class attributes, inheritance, and dynamic binding. Methods may be inherited publicly, while attributes utilize protected inheritance. These important new features, along with improvements to the original GOOP runtime environment give LabVIEW programmers a dynamic and powerful object-oriented language for application of all sizes.
The VISTA GOOP Tool Suite includes: The Goop Wizard 3.0, new tool for creating and editing classes that is ten times faster and more powerful than previous versions of the GOOP wizard. It also offers Inheritance capabilities so that methods and attributes can be reused in sub-classes. Other component tools include the Icon Editor, an automatic icon generator, the Development Distribution tool for making object distributions and executables plus an improved GOOP debugging tool called Objects in Memory.
The VISTA GOOP Tool Suite make all the benefits of object-orientated programming easy to implement and supports Encapsulation and dynamic binding (sometimes called Polymorphism) so that implementation of methods can be redefined in subclasses and dynamically binded at runtime.
